JACON REPORT!!!

Okay, in a better mood now after getting yummies at Ho Ho Choy and talking with Richard at the theater then getting our copy of Advent Children from Suncoast. No cut... cus I'm mean like that.

THURSDAY

• Got to the hotel about 2-ish. Tried to check-in and had some issues with the depost that is required. They waved it for us luckily (an extra $100 over the cost of the hotel that's for "incidentals" like room service and phone and such).
• Chilled in the room til 4:40 when I registered for both my summer and fall classes.
• Went to the volunteer meeting at 8 and got molested by some random gay fanboi of Sailor Moon for the shirt I was wearing.
• Went to dinner with Troy and Kevin at Froggy's, which has the best damn ceaser salad wrap...EVER.
• Made my mask for the ball in the room.

FRIDAY

• Got up at a decent hour and wandered around the con for a while, first stop being the AMV room.  Saw some awesome and disturbing AMV's.
• Went to Lyn's SM pannel and complained about Chibi-Usa... :D
• Walked around the dealer's room and got depressed.
• Did some random pannels and then headed back to the room to chill for a bit before the Shoot Me Contest. (CONGRATS LYN AND MK!!!!)
• Hung around some more then headed to main events for the animusical.  B had to work a shift so couldn't go.
• Sat with neko_kaolla over to the side and was sad that the lights messed with my camera.
• AWESOME ANIMUSICAL!!!!
• Went to DINKY-CON and hung with Erin, Shannon, Lyn, Richard and Mk and Ken's mom bought me a drink *huggles* The stupid bartender carded me like whoa and tried to tell me I wasn't 21..... okay...sure.... we had to sit there and argue about it for like 10 minutes before he finally made me my damn tequilla sunrize. 
  
• Went back to the room and stayed up with fatal_femme and John talking before going to bed about 2 am...didn't fall asleep til about 4 though...

SATURDAY

• Got up early to take a nice shower and get some breakfast at the deli downstairs.  Started my shift at 9 in registration.
• Met a new friend in Brian. :D
  
• After 1 got sent to Main Events and met Adrianne :D
• Became crowd control and clicker lady for the amv contest (SINGLE FILE LINE, HAVE YOUR BADGES OR WRISTBANDS OUT AND VISABLE!!!!)
• After my shift was over at 5 we ran over to Bennigan's and had HORRIBLE service, but yummy food.
  
• Missed the cosplay cabaret and Lyn winning Best of Show (CONGRATS!!!! *hugs*)
• Got back and vegged for a bit before getting ready for the Masquerade.
• Got to the Masquerade and waited in line for a while, but it was worth it!!!
• Masquerade..... omg.... Lyn, Richard, Shannon, Tracy, Kim, Troy, Kevin, Angie, Chris and Amanda.... I love you all!!! I had so much fun! TIME WARP LIKE WOAH!!!! :D
• Found duckies in the little pond behind the lobby on the way to the pannel....OMGDUCKIES!!!!!! DUCKIES TRACY, DUCKIES!!!!
• The Pannel About Nothing was so much fun.  Tried my first Long Island Iced Tea thanks to Kevin.  We also all went on a field trip to see the bird lady and got yelled at for being in the women's bathroom.... :D
• Kim was a bad girl according to Jason's blacklight.... LOL :D
• More sleep...

SUNDAY

• Got up fairly early cus we had to check out at 11 and I had to get ready for the pagent.  Had issues with Setsuka (in the fact that I was missing half of the accesories as they were in B's truck and it was in Clearwater...)
• Went and got Asuka from MK to wear, and went to the pagent.  Hung out more with Tracy. :D
• Voice was DEAD after the ball so it was a good thing I got cut early. Plus we got to eat before our shifts.
• Went to the Chinese Place of Doom across the street. They charged us 10.95 instead of the 9.95 in the menu for Sweet and Sour Pork, which was very lackluster and small portions.  And they charged my credit card for $47 instead of $27....which I promptly had her void.  Never going back.
• Started our shifts and were in Main Events again with Adrianne and saw George's pannel, Billy's and then the join pannel.  All were awesome. 
  
• George drew Dott on my Dinky-Con badge....I feel special.. :D I <3 George.
• Caught back up with Tracy and hung for a while, man you need to move down here girl!
• Took some fun pictures with Tracy and the Animusical props. :D
• Went to closing ceremonies for the first time ever...and had fun :D
• Got free bread from the ops room :D I have stuff for sandwhiches now yay! :D
• Got home about 9 and fell asleep immediately.

Overall it was the BEST con I have ever been too and I can't wait for next year!!! I'll definitely be volunteering again next year!!! (and maybe for AFO).

MetroCon might only be one day, to enter B's Sephiroth in the costume contest. and to do Anime Idol with Carolie.

PS- The few pictures that turned out at the animusical will be posted later as they are on the lappy.  I'm sad most of them were blurry as hell cus of the lighting and my angle.... *sniff*

So you know-Anime Idol is Saturday and the Costume Contest is Sunday... hope that doesn't hurt things for you too much (scheduling this year is hard on Roy because he needs to get guest time in for Seek/YURAsama and Monkey Punch). Time may be changed before the con, but the Costume Contest IS on Sunday (signup/prejudging starts about an hour after the encore performance of the Chess match).
