Well, yesterday started off kinda eh, since I've been pretty depressed about things that have been going on lately and such. So, I got paid yesterday so I decided to go get a sucker fish for my newt tank and a new filter cartridge. I get to the pet store near my house that I usually get everything at and they hold puppies for breeders (non-show quality dogs) and sell them. Well they had a small red dachsun (sp?) girl for like $550.00. She was so cute, but way out of my price range and I really didn't want a puppy. I've been thinking about getting a dog for a while now, and I thought, "hey, I've got some time and some extra money, I'll go up to the Humane Society and look!" I paid for my fish and my filter and walked outside. The first thing I see when I get outside is a bill laying in the parking lot. From far away I thought it might have been a $5 or something, as I got closer it looked more like a $20. When I finally got to it, I realised it was a $50 bill!! I looked around and there was nobody around who could have dropped it and there was a car coming so I picked it up. I thought of it as an early birthday present from my boyfriend's mom. (She passed away last july). I went up to the HS and found the most perfect dog. His name is Blackie, and he's 6. He's part chow but you would never know it from his temperment. He is such a sweetheart! They have to okay it with my apartment complex and my mom has to get our cat's shots updated, but other than that, he's my baby now!!! I probably get to take him home tonight. I'm so excited!!!
